>>>"The occupations of Iraq and Palestine offer nothing but repression and deadly chaos."<<<

This mindless rant is patently false, unless one distorts it into the contortion of a Palestinian occupation of Judea-Samaria and Gaza. If repression and lethal chaos is what you're concerned about, look no further than the PA and its "security" apparatuses.

>>>"As the US government bilaterally equates such resistance with terrorism,"<<<

The targeting of non-combatants for murder and maiming plus destruction of edifices belonging to private people registers as terrorism in the real world.

>>>"...discuss the role of the anti-war movement in supporting the right to resist."<<<

Out there in the real world where logic reigns supreme, the anti-war concept is irreconcilable with "the right to resist", which is an euphemism for justification of terrorism.

I must say I find the efforts of QUIT, or Queers Undermining Israeli Terrorism to be very funny and a joy to behold. Their sense of humor and quick wit helps to defuse the tensions of opposing parties in this battle for alliances both Pro-Palestine and Pro-Israel.

While I am not gay or lesbian, I have a tremendous amount of respect for the resilience of that community. While liberal Kerry supporters were crying in their Sauvignon Blanc after the election in November, the gays, who represent an insular micro-minority with essentially no means of political redress, were back battling the next day.

I think the heterosexual 'liberal' community could take a lesson in bravery and undying dedication. Gays and Lesbians should write a book about how to fight against overwhelming odds so that we can all benefit.

I was especially gratified to see Gays recently stage a festival in what I believe was to be Jerusalem, while notables of all religions banded together to oppose their efforts, yet another example of how religions are used as a weapon of intolerance.

I also wish to note that the citizens of Massachusetts did not necessarily support Gay Marriage, rather it was imposed on them by the state's supreme court. I find it interesting that the Chief Justice of the state court was a female survivor of the Apartheid Regime in South Africa. I guess it takes one to know one. I wish I could say the same about middle class America. We so quickly forget where we came from when we become moneyed class wannabees.

" I was especially gratified to see Gays recently stage a festival in what I believe was to be Jerusalem"

I'd love to see what happens if "gays for palestine" tried to hold a festival in "palestine"...as as the peaceloving Arabs were slaughtering them, they'd still blame the Isra-ay-lees

Let me re-emphasize for those who read my statements about QUIT yet did not understand what I had to say:

"while notables of all religions banded together to oppose their efforts..."

My statements made reference to Islam as well as Catholicism and Judaism.

Is that so difficult a statement to communitcate? It is important for some to find it within themselves to understand what others say.
