A new micro-cinema event comes to Three Dollar Bill Cafe for the first time on Thursday, March 24 at 7:30 PM.
Three Dollar Bill Cinema is open to local filmmakers, video enthusiasts, home-movie makers and those who love to watch DIY cinema.
You are invited to show your short films, documentaries and other multimedia work. Your work will be displayed on the cafe's wide-screen plasma TV. As always we offer our extensive menu of food, espresso drinks and other beverages, now including beer on tap and free wireless internet access for our customers.
* Ideal formats for submitting your efforts are DVD, high quality Quicktime on CD,
and/or the venerable VHS.
* All submissions should be no longer than 15 minutes (if your submission is longer let us know).
* Please contact us at cinema [at] threedollarbill.com by March 23 with a brief description of your submission, your contact info, and links to websites or anything else that may be applicable.
* You can also drop-off a copy of your submission, with the above information, at the cafe in person by March 23. Please remember once you submit your masterpiece, Three Dollar Bill Cafe is not responsible if it is lost, stolen, incompatible or damaged.
* Outstanding entries will be displayed at the cafe throughout the month.
* This event is open to everyone interested in participating. Every effort will be made to show all submitted works, but Three Dollar Bill reserves the right to limit submissions based on number of participants, support of submitted media format and appropriateness of subject matter.
What open mic's are to people looking to form bands, this on-going, free monthly event will provide a great networking opportunity for people interested in making and being in movies. So be creative and please join us in creating an exciting and ongoing microcinema event.

The Ethical Slut
presented by Dossie Easton and Janet Harding
2:30pm - 5:30pm
Doors at 2:00pm
[ cost ?? ]
"Strategies for Sluts:
Negotiating the Banana Peels of Free Love"

OK, so you want to have lots of sex and lots of S/M with lots of wonderful people... who wouldn't?
But the realities are often challenging: even the most joyous slut may experience insecurity, feelings of clumsiness and/or incompetence, guilt, and, of course, jealousy.
Dossie and Janet will discuss lifestyles that go [beyond] traditional monogamous model.
Can you maintain supportive relationships in a world where the only sexual boundaries
are the ones you set yourself?
How do you feel secure when your partner has a date (with someone cuter than you)?
What is jealousy, and can it be overcome?
Come listen, talk and learn about how to build the lifestyle you want.

Janet Hardy (aka Catherine A. Liszt and Lady Green) is president of Greenery Press Inc. Under her various pen names, she is the author or co-author of ten books on sexuality, polyamory and BDSM.
[And under yet another, she's a published expert in some "respectable" field.]
Janet is a bisexual, polyamorous, gender-flexible SM switch who has shared her lifestyle knowledge
at workshops and conferences internationally.

Dossie Easton, a San Francisco therapist, has been an active sex radical since 1961. While she is a well-known bottom, Dossie also tops, and has taught dozens of classes on S/M techniques, skills and philosophy. She was one of the first members of the Society of Janus [SOJ] in San Francisco.

The two women have co-authored five books, including

"The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities"

and "Radical Ecstasy: SM Journeys to Transcendence."
