'Wild 94.9' Supports High School Student Walk-out in East Side San Jose

by repost
I was amazed to see that this mainstream radio station is really doing local activism and probably having a significant impact, despite being a Clear Channel station. I'd heard the Doghouse guys before cutting down Bush as stuff got worse recently, but now they're really doing something concrete. A girl called in to say how the students will be wearing all pink in support of their teachers and will go into the hallways starting in second period and will stay out there all day, if possible. The DJs were saying 'right on' and telling them how good it is, being supportive and pointing out how poor people of color are being targeted by Arnold, who should give up his Hummers, etc., and how you should at the very least, sign the petition on the website. The catch is, this is Clear Channel station so if you want to even sign the petition, you have to first register with them. On the other hand, the 'Doghouse' site from the morning show links directly to the student's site for organizing. I'm not sure what to make of it - when a Clear Channel station is this bipolar, where are we in history?
help our south bay teachers and students.
go directly to wild 94.9 to sign the petition.

Wild 94.9 needs your help!
[but only if you register on their site - otherwise, they can't help support the teachers . . .]

Click here to sign a petition to support the huge number of teachers that may be terminated in the East Side Union High School District of San Jose.
