DOUBLE FEATURE - - - DOUBLE FEATURE

“Maria's Story” and
“El Salvador: Revolucion o Muerte”

This month's feature is a benefit for:
Bay Area CISPES
(The Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador) http://www.cispes.org
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Maria's Story” is an intimate portrait of a 39 yr old mother of three who is a leader in the guerrilla movement in El Salvador. Maria Serrano is a down-to-earth woman whose passion for social justice dominates her life. Born into extreme rural poverty, she struggled for an education and, at 15, married her husband, Jose, who now shares her commitment to the armed resistance movement.

“Revolucion o Muerte” is a graphic historical film documenting the horror of the U.S. backed war in El Salvador and the rise of an armed resistance to the repression of the government security forces and their related death squads.
