Made in Palestine The first comprehensive exhibition of contemporary Palestinian art in the U.S. Medjool Bar Restaurant Cafe 2522 Mission Street, SF Sunday, March 13th, 7-10 pm Featuring: Slide presentation by Exhibition Curator, Gabriel Delgado, George Lammam Ensemble George Lammam Ensemble: GEORGES LAMMAM, the second of three brothers of Palestinian descent who are professional musicians, has appeared on stage since the age of 15. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, and living for 14 years in the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Lammam is well-known in the Middle East and the United States as a solo violinist excelling in improvisation and lyricism. Middle Eastern Mazzeh and Cash Bar $35 admission $50 – includes admission and a Made In Palestine poster LIMITED QUANTITY! $100 or more – includes admission, a Made In Palestine poster – plus a full color Made In Palestine exhibition catalogue! Made In Palestine on view at SomArts, San Francisco, April 7 through April 21, 2005. The exhibition showcases a collection of contemporary art made by 23 Palestinian artists and refugees, who live in the occupied territories and the Diaspora. The works on display cover a wide range of media and present individual reflections on the Palestinian contemporary experience and the political situation in Palestine.
