Jewish Settlers Plan to Storm Al-Aqsa

by Islam Online (reposted)
NABLUS, March8 , 2005 (IslamOnline.net) – Extremist Jewish settlers are planning to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third holiest place, by next April, Al-according to Al-Aqsa Institution for Reconstruction of Islamic Sanctities.
Leaders of Jewish settlers have declared some10 , 000settlers are planning to storm the holy mosque in a bid to perform Jewish “religious rituals” in the holy place, they claim to be the site of “Temple Mount”.

Leaflets are being distributed by Jewish settlers to urge Jews to join the storming of the Islamic holy site on April10 .

Extremist Jewish groups, which rally for the construction of the so-called “Temple Mount”, are expected to join the storming, according to Israeli press sources.

The campaign patron, David Hebrew from the Tfwah settlement in the West Bank city of Nablus, claimed that his campaign aimed at fostering what he termed “spiritual relations” with “Temple Mount” by performing the Jewish religious rituals within the holy mosque.

“Through this campaign, we are trying to bring some10 , 000Jews into the mosque,” he told Israel’s Channel7 .

The extremist Jewish settler pressed for opening up all entrances of Al-Aqsa Mosque before the Jewish people, claiming that Al-Aqsa belongs to Jewish people, not to Muslims.

Israel claims Al-Aqsa Mosque was built on the so-called Temple Mount, an allegation refuted by scores of world historians.

Many were the times when Israeli occupation forces had stormed the mosque’s esplanade and clashed with worshippers.

On April12 ,2004 , at least 70 Palestinians were injured when Israeli forces stormed Al-Aqsa mosque compound and clashed with worshippers.

Official Green Light

“The planned campaign (to storm Al-Aqsa) is a result of the Israeli police (giving) green light for Jews to enter the mosque,” said Sheikh Kamal Al-Khateeb, deputy chairman of the Islamic Movement inside Israel.

He held the Israeli government responsible for any storming or attacks against the holy place.

“There are other major threats against the mosque, not only from those who openly express their intentions, but also from Jewish extremists who are secretly plotting attacks against the holy place.”

Khateeb further warned the mosque could be attacked by rockets.

“Why should we dismiss an attack (against Al-Aqsa Mosque) using Law rockets?” Khateeb charged, stressing that some of these Israeli rockets were declared stolen by the Israeli military recently.

Rocket attacks were being planned by some Israeli criminal gangs against a celebration hall in the Berdes Hana area, Khateeb said.

“These missing rockets could be used by extremist Israeli groups to attack Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

A senior Israeli security official warned last July that extremist Jews might be plotting a deadly attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque to kill the Middle East peace process stone-dead and derail Israeli proposed pullout of the Gaza Strip.

A suspect in a Jewish underground terror group affair, Shahar Dvir-Zeliger, told Israeli authorities a prominent West Bank settler activist had planned a mosque attack, according to a recent report by Israeli daily Ha’aretz.

On February25 ,1994 , Baruch Goldstein, a well-known leader of Jewish extremist Kach group, entered Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the West Bank town of Al-Khalil and emptied two clips of a machinegun into Muslim worshippers during the dawn prayer, killing at least 50 people and injuring 200 others.

Israeli occupation soldiers used tear gas and guarded the entrance of the mosque after they heard gunfire, which contributed to the difficulty of evacuating the dead and injured.

Some eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers took part in the shooting afterward.

Goldstein was said to have died inside the mosque, but it is not clear if he killed himself or was killed in the melee after opening fire.

Archeologists have also warned that ongoing Israeli excavations weakened the foundations of the mosque, cautioning it would not stand a powerful earthquake.

A part of the road leading to one of the mosque’s main gates collapsed in February,2004 , due to the destructive Israeli digging work.

Israeli soldiers also attempted in June,2004 , to storm the mosque’s prayer hall (Al-Musallah Al-Marwani) and ended by force restoration works that were underway there.

The Supreme Committee to Follow up Issues of Arab Community in Israel warned on Tuesday of plans by radical Israeli settlers to harm the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem in April.

The committee said that any attempt to harm the mosque will lead to "detrimental consequences" that could affect countries of the Arab and Islamic worlds.

Spokesman of the committee Abed Anbatawi indicated that the committee, as well as a large number of Palestinians living in Israel will pay a visit on Tuesday to the mosque, which is considered a holy site for millions of Muslims.

Speaking to Palestinian radio Tuesday, Anbatawi stated that "the visit is not the first to be organized by the committee to be in touch with what's happening at the holy mosque at the religious as well as the national levels."

Al-Aqsa Institution for the protection of Islamic Holy sites announced Monday that around10 , 000Jewish settlers have started organizing to break into the holy mosque next month.

The settlers are planning to enter the mosque, which they call the "Temple Mount", to perform their religious rituals inside the mosque, explained the institution, noting that extremist Jewish groups began distributing posters in some settlements to prepare for the campaign.

Vice-President of the Islamic Movement in Israel scholar Kamal Khatib announced in press statements Tuesday that this Jewish call to storm into Al-Aqsa Mosque on April 10 is part of a "green light" the Israeli police have given to the Jews to enter the mosque under their protection, KUNA reported.

Meanwhile, Supreme Judge of Palestine scholar Taysir Al-Temimi warned Israel Tuesday of any attempt to harm the mosque, indicating that the settlers' plans are real and dangerous and are acknowledged by several Israel security authorities, including the police and the Israeli interior security apparatus who confirmed that some Jewish groups plan to blow up the mosque.

Al-Temimi called on Arab, Islamic and international organizations to defend the holy mosque and stop the aggression against Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, pointing out that the security wall built by Israel around Jerusalem prevented Palestinians from reaching the mosque.

Let's not mix this incident up with the threats on the Al Aqsa Mosque.

This is the story I heard about Goldstein from a Rabbi who lived in Jerusalem.

He told me that some Jewish groups found out about an impending attack on Jewish targets, and no one knew what to do to prevent the attack from occurring.

The suspects had planned to meet at the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque just prior to the attack and they had brought all their arms with them to the mosque.

When the different groups were frozen with indecision, Goldstein unilaterally "volunteered" to dispatch the threat by himself. He averted the attack but he paid for it with his own life. It was NOT an attack on an Islamic mosque. It was NOT an attack on Islam.

And it has nothing to do with the Al Aqsa Mosque situation.

I note with derision that the sources above deny the former existance of the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount. More Arab attempts to rewrite history.

If the Arabs really wanted peace, they would dismantle both mosques (the Dome of the Rock AND the Al Aqsa Mosque) brick by brick and rebuild them somewhere else.

The Temple Mount rightfully belongs to the Jewish people. The Islamic "holy sites" on top are fake holy sites (Mohammed never ever visited there in his whole life!!!) and every minute they are there, they defile the Holy Jewish site.

That said, I DO NOT advocate removing these mosques by violence or coersion.

Is there a name for this rabbi, a source, a link?

Even the JDL doesn't tout this account on its website.

by then do a google-search
If you doubt that the Zionist extremists (most Israelis, especially the settlers) want to destroy the Al Aqsa mosque and build the "third temple" in its place, then do a google search on this: "re-building third temple Al Aqsa" or other such key words. How can you doubt this anyway? It's obvious that the Zionists want it all. There are well-known Zionist organizations totally devoted to this goal of destroying the Al Aqsa mosque and re-building a temploe there in Jerusalem, and they've been around for decades. They have already made attempts too. Everyone in the Middle East knows all about this too. Americans, as usual, are kept in the dark by the Zionized US media.
by Critical Thinker
Because I've lived long enough in Israel to know that you're quite off the mark, wise guy. (You weren't talking to me, but I figure I might as well interfere since I can speak of this topic with adequate authority.)

Most Israelis Jews may be *wishing* that another Temple be built but they only a minority amongst them actually want to demolish the mosques on the Mount to pave the way to building the Third Temple. Your sources mean little in the arena of actual facts, sir/madam. Any kook, such as the two sources listed above, can spout any ridiculous lie and hope it sticks, but don't expect everyone to fall for that garbage.

The Jewish organizations devoted to the objective of realizing the Third Temple are fringe elements in Israeli society. Very few even take them and their agenda with any degree of seriousness, and the Israeli security service keeps an eye out for any security threat any of them might pose.

As for your last contentions that "They have already made attempts too. Americans, as usual, are kept in the dark by the Zionized US media", I challenge you to produce proof. I've never seen evidence that the mainstream US media has supressed reports of Alan Goodman's shooting spree on the Mount in 1982 or the terrorist Jewish Underground's thwarted plan to blow up the mosques in the mid 1980s. If you don't furnish the proof, it'll be obvious you're simply lying.
by just wondering
Where were you born?
by Critical Thinker
And would you disclose your precise birthplace if I asked?
He dodged the question. Does this mean he is ashamed to admit that he was not born in Israel, and is in fact yet another Euro-American colonialist invader, come to steal Arab land?
by just wondering
So you *weren't* born there? Yes or no. Be specific. Were you or were you not born in Israel?
by Critical Thinker
Why do you keep living on land -- to which your Irish ancestors never had any historical, let alone religious bond -- stolen from Native Americans? Why don't you immigrate to Ireland where your ancestors once lived, instead of continuing to enjoy all kinds of things that have been usurped from the Native Americans while simultaneously lying about the Jewish homeland being "Arab land"? Why are you such a huge liar and hypocrite?

"So you *weren't* born there? Yes or no."
Why harass CT on where he was born and lives now? Immigration shouldnt be an issue anywhere. Israel has racist immigration policies and settlements are a slow attempt to make a Palestinian state impossible. The increasing talk by proIsrael folk that Palestinians dont exist or are Jordanians suggests a growing danger of increased ethnic cleansing in the West Bank. But the fact that many Israelis immigrated from Europe shouldnt really matter. One can play the "well you are also an immigrant card" but are recent immigrants to the US who hold antiimmigrant views somehow more guilty than people who are antiimmigrant who were born here? One can look on the horrors and oppression of Israeli occupation without having to phrase it in antiImmigrant terms.
by heard it before
This is colonialism. Jewish immigrants to Palestine don't show up looking for work. They come to steal land from the indigenous people. They are no different than the French colonist who tried to steal Algeria, the Portuguese colonists who tried to steal Mozambique or the English colonists who tried to steal Zimbabwe. They will meet the same fate. Down with colonialism. Death to empire.

"They come to steal land from the indigenous people. "

The Jews are stealing nothing.

It was the Arabs who stole Jews' land and they now want to do the same.

Whatcha talking about. When the area that is now Isrel/Palestine became Muslim it hadnt been a Jewish area for hundreds of years.
by Critical Thinker
>>>"settlements are a slow attempt to make a Palestinian state impossible"<<<<

That's not true in a blanket manner. You can, however, credibly say that about outposts intended to grab every single hilltop where only one family at most resides. But not all Jewish communities established in Judea-Samaria were meant to prevent the creation of a future Palestine.

>>>"The increasing talk by proIsrael folk that Palestinians dont exist or are Jordanians suggests a growing danger of increased ethnic cleansing in the West Bank."<<<

You may very well have quantified this rhetoric and then compared it to past patterns of pro-Israel statements and been led to conclude there's an increase. But such utterings have virtually no influence on Israeli policy makers, which aren't aiming at ethnic cleansing. In other words, the two are unrelated.

>>>"When the area that is now Isrel/Palestine became Muslim it hadnt been a Jewish area for hundreds of years."<<<

But the Arab occupiers all but took control of the land Jews were inhabiting by imposing steep taxes on its yield if not usurping land altogether.

And nessie's sloganeering crap? Isn't worthy of a refutation. Pity that he refuses to answer my questions.

"It's about people alive today who were driven from their homes by other people who are also alive today."

And what about the people who should be alive today but aren't?

Who else was driven from their homes?
by they're still trying to decieve and distract
>It is about ancestors because somebody above mentioned them.

That’s an ontological argument, not unlike St. Anselm’s attempt to prove the existence of God. It’s bunk logic. Don’t fall for it.

>And what about the people who should be alive today but aren't?

>Who else was driven from their homes?

These are irrelevant distractions. The Zionist lie chorus doesn’t want you to think about the three quarters of a million innocent people who were driven from their homes by ethnic cleansers and are now forbidden by law to return to their homes, which are now occupied by Zionists.

Of *course* they don’t want you to focus on that. The fact condemns them for the ethnic cleansers they are. Zionism *is* ethnic cleansing. All the lies, bunk logic and distractions on the world cannot change that.

Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people. Jews have been fighting a variety of colonizers: Greek, Roman, Arab, Ottoman, British for over 2,000 years.
