About Pet Noir, the Comic

Pet Noir is a collaborative graphic novella featuring true stories about SF bay area crimes involving pets, to be released in the Summer of 2005. These stories, written by Shannon O’Leary and illustrated by artists August Bournique, Paul Musso and MariNaomi, intend to shed light on some of the odder crimes committed in recent times, as well as question our relationship with animals in society. Guest artists include Ric Carrasquillo, Jen Feinberg, N8 Van Dyke, Peter Conrad, Attaboy, Bitter Pie and more. A portion of the proceeds from this comic will be donated to In Defense of Animals.

About IDA

IDA’s efforts include educational events, cruelty investigations, boycotts, grassroots activism, and hands-on rescue through their sanctuaries in Mississippi and Cameroon, Africa.
