A very special event to raise funds for Rocket Dog Rescue’s Urban Sanctuary Project
San Francisco: A very special evening at Terra Mia Studios in San Francisco will be the second event to celebrate the beginning of Rocket Dog Rescue’s fundraising efforts for their soon to be built Urban Sanctuary. Come have a "dog-tini”, listen to great music, mingle with the very hippest dog rescue group in town, all to benefit our wonderful rescued dogs!
When: Friday, February 26th, 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Terra Mia Studios at 1314 Castro Street in San Francisco
Delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided along with snacks from such scrumptious places as Jasmine Tea House, Puccini and Pinetti's, Hot Cookie, and many more. There will be a live auction with items including personalized, autographed baseballs and uniforms from Barry Bonds and Willie Mays, Movie and Television memorabilia, spa packages, dinners, vacations, plus much, much more. $35.00 per ticket with all tickets sold in advance. All donations are tax deductible and go directly to Rocket Dog Rescue.
With the proceeds from this and other upcoming fundraising events, Rocket Dog Rescue will purchase and convert a warehouse in San Francisco into a fully functioning Urban Sanctuary for dogs. Since Rocket Dog Rescue’s inception in 2001, Rocket Dog Rescue has saved over 600 dogs from euthanasia in the overcrowded bay area shelters. Rocket Dog Rescue has done this all without their own facility, relying on dedicated foster homes to temporarily house dogs before they are adopted to their new families. “Ms. Pali Boucher of Rocket Dog Rescue is among the most committed and dedicated rescue groups we have had the pleasure to work with. Pali’s life saving efforts have given many dogs a second chance for life and without her and all the committed volunteers from Rocket Dog Rescue, our job would be much more difficult,” says Carl Friedman, Director of the San Francisco Animal Care and Control.
Founded in 2001 by bay area animal activist and recipient of a 2001 Points of Light Award for outstanding volunteerism, Pali Boucher, Rocket Dog Rescue is a San Francisco based all volunteer nonprofit group dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned animals from euthanasia in overcrowded bay area shelters, literally giving them a second chance at life. Rocket Dog Rescue is a 501-C3 nonprofit corporation supported completely by donations.
