Assemblyman Leno will discuss the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil
Rights movement and how it relates to the current LGBT movement. What political
strategies are LGBT rights activists employing in California and nationally? What
coalitions are forming for and against same-sex marriage in the California state
legislature? What are the impacts of introducing AB19?
