Gwen, Newark's 3 stooges, Placervillains...

by SF queer
Rolling Stone, issue 968-- predated 24 February 2005 -- includes
Bob Moser's well-written report on
"The Murder of a Boy Named GWEN".
...........
Comments by one SF queer:

Thugs buried Gwen's body in the woods at Silver Fork campground,
in the mountains near Lake Tahoe.
Afterwards they went to McDonald's,
"just down the mountain in Placerville" [page 64].

Did Placerville learn anything from its supporting role in this cruel drama?
Apparently not.
Since then, Placervillains have been demonstrating conspicuously
in San Francisco,
bashing equal marriage rights for same-gender couples.

...............

In the first trial, jurors couldn't decide whether the murder
was a pre-meditated, Mafia style operation;
or "merely" a sudden attack by drunken louts lacking consciences.

Newark's self-labelled "three stooges" might be tried again,
perhaps starting in May 2005 --
at least if they're too stupid to seek a plea bargain.
But, by now, fellow inmates may have educated them
about how to navigate California's legal system.

I could understand that all three of the guys would be feel mad...but at the same time...had there existed tolerance, things would have been a lot different
