2/14 at Sonoma State: Volunteers Needed to Mobilize Gay Activism

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO MOBILIZE GAY ACTIVISM!

On February 14th, 12:00 P.M. at Sonoma State
University, the "Inappropriate" Society, a student
club, will be hosting an event intended to challenge
the pervasive societal taboos related to public
display of affection in general, and particularly
related to those who are discriminated and silenced in
this regard. Examples of such groups are: the
homosexual community, interracial couples, elderly,
and disabled.

We are in need of volunteers who are interested in
participating in our event. The event will present a
diversity of couples expressing affection (kissing,
hugging, etc.) on our stage located at a central
campus location. We are particularly looking for gay,
lesbian, interracial, elderly, and disabled
couples/partners who are willing and interested to
promote this worthy cause by participating on our
stage.

This event is put in place as a means to transform
discrimination into tolerance and reshape many
societal constraints that inhibit the personal
freedoms of many people. You can help this happen on
February 14th.

The event will also include information tables, an
open mic, and possibly music and dancing. There is no
money involved. It is a free event for the public at
large.
