From Bay Area (5 southbound), exit Shields Ave./Litle Panoche Rd, turn right onto Little Panoche Rd. From LA (5 northbound), same exit, turn left. Travel 13 miles down Little Panoche Rd, turn right into Mercey Hot Springs.

Kick the Oil Habit at the Alternative Fuels Summit hosted by Unifried (the Biofuel Bus), and Mercey Hot Springs on April 8, 9 & 10, 2005. Workshops include Brewing Biodiesel, SVO (collecting, selecting, filtering & using), an Engine Conversion, a Forum on Organizing an Alternative Energy Co-op, Grant Writing for Environmental Causes, and more. Other events and exhibits include Permaculture & Sustainable Living Demonstrations, tours of Mercey Hot Springs off-the-grid energy systems, open-mike night at the Friday evening community campfire, and live music on Saturday night. Cost is $100 and includes admission to all workshops & exhibits & events, camping/RV space, and two tickets for soaking.
