Pending Actions & 9th Circuit Page on Beardslee Possible Execution 1/19

by California Abolitionist
On Jan 19, 2005 at 12:01 a.m., the State of California will murder a human being, Donald Beardslee, with our tax dollars, unless we do everything we can to stop this barbarism, the death penalty, which has been abolished in Europe, and is rarely used except in the most backward countries, like the USA.

The Ninth Circuit, which has denied all appeals so far, has a special web page on the case at:
ttp://http://www.ca9.uscourts.gov/ca9/Documents.nsf/54DBE3FB372DCB6C88256CE50065FCB8/F009FCA623B5BD1788256F7A0006550F?OpenDocument

The US Supreme Court docket on this case, Beardslee v. Brown, No. 03-10650, is at:
http://www.supremecourtus.gov/docket/03-10650.htm

Death Penalty Focus' page on Beardslee states that he still has the option of an appeal to the US Supreme Court and an appeal for clemency from death penalty Republican Gov Schwarzenegger, who loves the death penalty just as much as his predecessor, death penalty Democrat Gov Gray Davis, and just as much as another Austrian, with politics almost identical to him, namely Adolf Hitler.

The Death Penalty Focus page is at:
http://www.deathpenalty.org/index.php?pid=Executions

We saved Kevin Cooper's life just a couple hours before the execution. We will fight for Beardslee's life with the same determination.

The death penalty is a class weapon of the capitalist class against the workingclass, and the fact that it still exists in the US means labor is very weak. The 21st Century Abolitionist Movement demands the abolition of the death penalty and prisons, replacing them with a serious rehabilitation program for all who are actually guilty of a crime, so that they are productive members of society, earning a decent, living wage, in no less than 5 years of being found guilty. With such a program, we will effectively also eliminate the police departments, and they all can get real jobs, such as being retrained as social service workers if they are so inclined, or whatever other useful, socially productive work they can do. We do not need $80,000 a year armed police to fill out traffic accident reports or direct traffic.

As to the judges, district attorneys and attorneys general, such as the current death penalty Democrat Attorney General Bill Lockyer, who all run for office on the basis of being for the death penalty and related anti-workingclass "tough on crime" lying rhetoric, they are all by definition criminally insane. To be for the death penalty in the 21st Century is to be criminally insane. Both the Democratic and Republican parties are by definition death penalty parties. Please stop voting for any and all of their candidates. The socialist Peace and Freedom Party and the Green Party are anti-death penalty parties. Vote only for anti-death penalty candidates to put an end to these campaigns by criminally insane politicians promoting the death penalty.

Below are pending actions on this case:

These "men" had no sympathy for the people they killed. I have no sympathy for them. Die.
