Change to SF Abortion Rights Resolution

Supervisor Tom Ammiano introduced a city resolution today recognizing January 21st, 2005 as"Stand Up for Choice Day," in honor of the landmark 1973 United States Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade, and supporting the local pro-choice community demonstrating in San Francisco to defend a woman's right to choose safe and legal abortion and birth control.


SF Supervisor Tom Ammiano did introduce pro-choice city resolution today, but the public comment period started at 3:20 instead of at 5:00. SF Board meetings start at 2...the public comment period starts after they go through the agenda (there is no fixed time, unfortunately)
Sorry for the confusion! You'll get a second chance next Tuesday, Jan 11th, which is when the Board of Supes actually votes on the resolution. For the best chance to get your two cents in, show up at 3:00. For any questions about the resolution, or other organizing opportunities, e-mail me at:
