Supervisor Tom Ammiano will introduce a city resolution today recognizing January 21st, 2005 as"Stand Up for Choice Day," in honor of the landmark 1973 United States Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade, and supporting the local pro-choice community demonstrating in San Francisco to defend a woman's right to choose safe and legal abortion and birth control.
