A child raised by a homosexual has two strikes against him/her to start. The child is getting imprinted with immoral values.]
Mainstream America reelected Bush, trashed Kerry, gives Arnold a 70+% approval rating and is dismantling unions and socialism in general. Liberalism will soon be a non-issue. It has nothing to do with assigning a religious label to it. It has to do with the aging of America and maturing of the 60s - 80s decades of leftism. People are growing up. Know what.... you will too, once you move from Berkeley (or at least stop drinking their water)
I'm at a loss to understand what "growing up" has to do with accepting bigoted attitudes towards gays and lesbians, and acting as if heterosexuality is a morally superior lifestyle

Be careful what you say or history will repeat itself. Civil War? Civil unrest?
Homegrown terrorism? Take your pick.
Simply stated - you are fading. Your liberal ideals, your liberal values...they are going.... and fast! And you know it but refuse to admit it to yourself first. You are becoming smaller and smaller in numbers, you lose consistently, you have effected little change. Even mainstream America now sees the media as liberal and are "outing" and removing the old school liberals one by one. Right-wing Fox is quickly becoming the main news source for most. Think what you want (it helps us!) you are being terminated. You are getting fired. Delude yourself, we love it. Your responses most everywhere on these boards is as useful as wet toilet paper.
oh, and Richard.... you said "acting as if heterosexuality is a morally superior lifestyle"
well...... here's a scoop for ya...... it is! Hate to break the news to you..... even Darwin would agree. If you believe homosexuality is an equivalent moral lifestyle to heterosexuality, then state your facts why....NOT your beliefs... I am seeking the facts. (here is just a "stater fact" from me) First, set up an island of all homosexuals and then tell me how many generations will survive.
Keep deluding yourself bub..... I love it!

This is really quite absurd.
We rejected the bigotry of the Christian fundamentalist scene in the 1960s, and we will reject it again in its new variant: bigotry towards gays and lesbians.
Whether people will react violently to the rejection of their bigotry is their business, after all, they frequently did in the 1960s, as we are reminded by the indictment of Killen in Mississippi.
We didn't let it stop us then, and it's not stopping us now.
By the way, I'm not a liberal, and people like myself don't have to resort to violence for our beliefs, all we need to do is to acknowledge the marriages of our gay and lesbian friends (as I and many others do), and stop spending our money to support people, businesses and politicians who support this hateful backlash, as I and many others do.
