Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's contribution to the civil rights and labor
movements

Electrical Workers' Hall (IBEW local 332)

A weekend of solidarity in an era of war, racism, and hard times

Song swaps, art displays, workshops, and performances!

Program will include: theater with Elise Bryant, cartooning with Mike Konopacki, the
Freedom Song Network, the Rockin' Solidarity Labor Chorus, Faith Petric, Jimmy
Collier, Solidarity Notes (Vancouver), graphic arts with Lincoln Cushing,
photography with David Bacon and others, spoken word artists from around the Bay
Area, and much more.

Friday evening
6 p.m. Registration, 7pm Song and Poetry Swap

Saturday
9 a.m. Registration, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Workshops

Saturday evening
7 p.m. Arts Exchange with featured performers

Sunday
9 a.m. - noon Workshops and Exchanges
1:30 Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.
3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Workshops

Sunday evening Benefit Concert for workers in need, 7 p.m. Admission $10-15
seniors/students/unemployed, $15-20 working folks.

Volunteers are needed to help with transportation, housing, and food in exchange for
registration fees. Please contact coordinator Kendyll Stansbury. Sponsors include
the AFL-CIO Central Labor Councils & Unions of the greater Bay Area, San Jose City
College, the Labor Heritage Foundation, and others.
