San Francisco's Only Pirate TV Station
San Francisco's first Pirate TV Station is set to launch New Years Day 2005 at 6pm .
Don't kill your TV just yet...
Come New Years Day San Francisco will become the only city in the USA to have a Pirate Television Station.
Pirate/Community Radio Station, Pirate Cat Radio 87.9fm will be launching its new addition to the airwaves "Pirate Cat TV Channel 13". No, its not on cable or satellite, just make your own old fashion set of TV rabbit ears and Pirate Cat TV will be on your screen.
Pirate Cat TV Channel 13 is set on being the publics true media alternative. Although planed programing is a little short currently, Pirate Cat TV is encouraging others to get out and create programs. "Currently we're looking for people interested in producing daily, weekly or monthly news programs" says station co-founder JB.
"San Francisco is one the most politically aware cities in the US, if a Pirate TV Station is to succeed any where its here" said co-founder Monkey. "Our goal is not only to inform, but to get others to share their views of the world with others.
Pirate Cat TV will hold a launch party at the Odeon Bar in San Francisco, New Years Day at 5pm.

Hoiw much power will Piraste cat have? Will we be able to get it in the East Bay? Since this is TV and not radio, and the FCC is more interested in even a non-interfering TV station, do you have security plans? I don't want to know them or want you post them here,; i just want to knows if you have them--with 1 exception: I think as part of your plan, you ned a mass public repsponse to any raid or threat of raid. Maybe we all go the Federal building in Sf when there is a raid or threat of such. It should be announced on hte station, on all the pirate radio stations ih the Bay area, on Indymedia and thru a real phone tree.
