This is a wonderful film of efforts in Japan to support the locked out hotel workers in San Francisco last month. Now the workers are tiding the city through Christmas-- but what fate awaits them after the holidays? A cruel hoax that could lock them out again without a contract-- or the beginning of mature corporate responsibility and gratitude for worker loyalty and service? Justice?
This film mentions for the first time the KYO-YA Corporation (spelling?).
Many times the striking workers referred to overseas owners... the mainstream news media never really clearly devulged who the real owners are. It is shame that in today's world we work for people we do not know and who seem to care so little.
