Hey wassup! AIDE is a network that started in the Bay Area. We held a conference in October to provide a space for an independent network of folks concerned with educational issues. What came out of this conference is Bay Area folks hooking up with students organizing in Santa Cruz, Long Beach, Santa Barbara, and San Diego. But the thing is we are hoping to get more representation in order to collectively strategize for building a more unified movement to reprioritize education. We wanna connect higher education issues with those of K-12 and to learn to diversify and escalate our tactics to include collaborative use of education, outreach, organizing, mass community mobilization, and direct action as guiding principles.

This is why it’s important, if possible, for you to join us in a Call-out meeting we’ll be having Sunday December 12 from 12noon to 4pm at the Richmond Making Changes Freedom School. The address is 633 17th Street (cross street Roosevelt) in Richmond, CA.
