In the wakes of a powerfully successful campaign against
Measure Y a even more powerful coalition has formed to
make sure the implementation of Measure Y is accontable
to the community that it aspires to help. This Coalition
held a meeting with Barbara Lee's head staff people on
November 18th. This Coalition currently represents many
of the most significant progressive leaders and organizations
in the Oakland community. We are working on developing a
detailed series of positions that we see as necessary in the
implementation of Measure Y focussed on Governance, Police
Accountability and Social Programs.
