U.N.I.O.N.
United for No Injustice, Oppression or Neglect
NEEDS YOU
to support a lawsuit to challenge the changes in the packages rules by attending a press conference on,
January 7, 2005, ll a.m., rain or shine
The lawsuit will be filed by the law firm of Ravis and Martin of Beverly Hills. We all need to be there to thank them for handling this case against CDC! Bring your entire family or send people to represent you so that we can get media coverage and prove that families are angry about the changes in packages rules! Showing up is the easy part! Why pay double prices and allow your inmate to be denied many items when the rules change was unlawful! The families must do the fighting for the inmates.
Roybal Federal Building, 255 E. Temple St., Los Angeles
South side of the building by the large art sculpture, this is a few blocks from Union Station so you can take the train, many inexpensive parking lots are located at Main St. and Olvera. You can rent a car from Enterprise on Fridays for $9 a day. Rides may also be available.
This will be the fifth lawsuit the UNION has supported against CDC since September 13, the other four were all wrongful deaths, medical neglect and abuse of pepper spray. If you care about medical neglect and guards abusing and murdering inmates, it's important to support all our lawsuits. Your loved one could be next!
Donald Swisher - Anthony Shumake - Ersel Ware - Anthony Brown wrongful death in prison cases.
We would like to file a 6th lawsuit on changes in the visiting regulations but need to have 2750 people willing to put in $20 each and our list of participants now stands at only 1500. When several thousand people get together to share the workload and expenses, lawsuits can be filed. This is necessary to force reform and to prove that families of prisoners are not too uneducated and dysfunctional to properly organize.

Bird since your son is serving a 99 year term for rape it would appear he is in good hands. Why is it you think the tax paying public (majority) gives a rip about what you think is an injustice? What your son did and those he walks the prison yard with are where they belong. But then they do say the apple does not fall far from the tree.
The people he walks the yard with are mostly drug offenders--do people who have struggles with addiction/alcoholism all belong there?
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
