Madeleine Albright Speaks in Little Rock

by KATV
Little Rock (AP) - Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said Friday in Little Rock that she thinks foreign-born citizens should be able to run for the U.S. presidency.
Friday November 19, 2004 2:48pm

Albright says the nation is a country of immigrants and how many generations a family has been here should not matter.

Supporters of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger have started an effort to amend the U.S. Constitution to allow immigrants to be president. Schwarzenegger was born in Austria and Albright was born in Czechoslovakia.
