Movement from Nov 28 if Musharraf fails to shed uniform

by kavkaz
Ameer and MMA President Qazi Hussain Ahmad announced to launch a protest movement from November 28 if President General Pervez Musharraf did not announce to take off his military uniform before December 31.
"We will start a protest movement from Karachi by holding first meeting on November 28. The next meeting will be held in Multan on December 5, third meeting in Lahore on December 12 and fourth in Rawalpindi on December 19," he told an Eid Millan Party here on Tuesday.

He urged the MMA activists and people of NWFP to participate in Rawalpindi meeting and educate the people in their area mosques and streets for the final show about the movement.

Qazi Hussain said he had already directed the concerned people in Karachi to select 200 sites for holding protest meetings if the authorities create any hurdles in their peaceful meetings. He asked the workers to offer court arrest and fill the prisons if the government started arresting them.

"We will not take the arms," he said, asking the people to remain peaceful and express their anger against the illegal rule of the president if he sticks to prolong his rule. He said that the peaceful movements had always brought revolutions and they would definitely succeed in their mission against the president.

"We do not accept the American interference in religious institutions. We do not accept the expulsion of Jihad subject from our educational syllabus. We are not ready to accept the American economic policy. We will never accept the capitalists system."

Quoting an article published in an American book, the JI Amir said that the US thought it necessary to raid the NWFP to eliminate al-Qaeda. In case of any threat to Pakistan in such a position, he said the joint forces of America and India would occupy the territory. He posed a question as to who was responsible for such a threats and what for?

The MMA president said they were not opposing to Pakistan Army. "We respect Pak Army but President Musharraf had handed it over to America and also violated his oath that he would not take part in politics," he alleged.

He said the Pakistan Army had occupied all the institutions and endangered the country. Qazi said the country could not be pulled out of the crisis until and unless establishing political stability. Referring towards the extraordinary security arrangements, he said Pakistani Army was afraid of its own citizen in their cantonments. He said a very few people in Pakistan could be the supporters of the present regime.
