Silent vigil for peace at Powell and Market, SF. November 18, 2004.
About four dozen people gathered for an informally organized silent vigil for peace last night at Powell and Market, San Francisco. People holding candles and posters to “speak silently” in opposition to the destruction and misery being unleashed by our government on Iraq, in our names. Quaker Witness for Peace and Justice, Veterans for Peace, and Not in Our Name, were a few of the signs and banners present.
