by Gino
On Saturday, November 13 the Garden Court at the Shereton Palace was transformed into the HAPSBURG IMPERIAL COURT as the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra holds its gala auction benefit, VIENNA GLORIOSA. Socialite guests arrived for the caviar bar. They were in formal attaire and period costume. Altough the Orchestra honored the picket line, the bousuisis still attened.
Locked out Local 2 Banquet waiters who have worked this event in past years gave the guests the welcome they deserved. the Palace was trancformed into a scene from the French Revolution with Jacobins, baggettes and bad French accents.

Is there going to be a flying picket squad this Sunday? If so when and where?

Meet in Union Square at the corner of Powell & Geary, right across the street from the picket line at the main entrance of the St. Francis Hotel, at 7:00 PM. Bring noise makers, friends and your expression of solidarity.

See you there,

Gifford

Obviously the noise is having an impact. The Hyatt-Embarcadero has a similar barricade to "protect" it's patrons from reality.
