9/11 Ommission Report Nominated for Literary Award
Can we *get* any *more* Orwellian if we wrote the story OURSELVES?? Jesus . ..
While I would have liked Heidi Benson to be more critical of the laughable Omission Report, I’m glad to see her article has outlined a few more Orwellian details we might not have heard about yet -
- - - The publisher (Norton) “has promised to keep it in print ‘in perpetuity.’”
- - - It will be taught in schools, starting with Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
- - - Henry Kissinger's son, David Kissinger will ‘ oversee’ the NBC miniseries of it.

'The 9/11 Commission Report' is a compelling read. But does it deserve a literary award?

“One thing everyone agrees on is that, largely because Norton has promised to keep it in print "in perpetuity," "The 9/11 Commission Report" will be read and studied for decades.
It will be taught in schools: At Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, Professor May will soon be involved in developing a curriculum around the report.
"There have been 640 federal commissions in the last 40 years," May said. "It is resorted to more and more because of a sense that partisanship paralyzes government -- and here's a commission that appears to be very successful."
You'll see it on TV: NBC's Universal Television Studios was first to announce plans for a miniseries based on the report, to be written and produced by Graham Yost, known for his work on two HBO series, "Band of Brothers" and "From the Earth to the Moon," and overseen by David Kissinger, Henry Kissinger's son.”
