Cheney taken to hospital: reports
US Vice President Dick Cheney has been taken to hospital after experiencing shortness of breath, according to reports from the US today.
CNN television said Mr Cheney, who had been suffering from a cold in recent days, was taken to George Washington University Hospital for tests.
The White House could not immediately be reached for comment.
Mr Cheney, 64, underwent angioplasty in November 2000 after suffering his fourth heart attack since 1978.
He had a cardioverter defibrillator implanted in June 2001 when he was treated for cardiac troubles after entering office with President George W. Bush in January that year.
