Peace Fresno Protests U.S. Attack on Fallujah

Peace Fresno held a rally today on the busiest street corner in Fresno, where participants demanded an end to the war in Iraq and the fighting in Fallujah. Motorists responded to the groups "Honk for Peace" and "U.S. Out of Fullujah" signs with a constant blasting of horns.
Dan Yaseen, the new president of Peace Fresno said "the U.S. assault on Fallujah is a catastrophic action that will result in horrific and unnecessary bloodshed, fuel anger and resentment against the U.S., and swell the ranks of terrorist groups rather than eradicating terrorism. We need to raise our voices in opposition to this attack, insist that the U.S. return to peace negotiations, and call for our troops to be brought home now."
Peace Fresno will be at Shaw and Blackstone from 4:30 - 6:30 PM every Friday, at least until mid January. For more information about future Peace Fresno actions, visit their web site at www.peacefresno.org
