"The Homophobia Election" ?
And also "The Terrorized Election" ?
National Public Radio (the only mass medium which deserves to be called "liberal"), and many prominent Democrats, have been talking politely about voters motivated by "moral values", who elected Bush in 2004.
"Moral values", in 2004, has mainly been a euphemism
for homophobia, patriarchy, prudery and fundamentalism.
Nov. 2 wasn't "the moral-values election".
It was mainly "The Homophobia Election" --
as well as "The Terrorized Election".
(Voters' fear of terrorism is well founded, IMHO;
so it's ironic that they chose a man who has repeatedly
shown his incompetence at fighting Al Qaeda and allied groups.
In this field, voters have rewarded failure. )

Or "The Fear Election" ??
Or both?
or the gay middle class agenda at cross purposes with just about everyone else's.
it seems like the "homophobia" thing, while maybe true in some quarters, is also an awfull convenient shield against a little much-needed internal criticism.
some of us did try to tell y'all so......
Those who haven't fought against anti-gay bigotry
HAVE NO RIGHT TO BITCH!!!
