Schwarzenegger Calls Democrats 'Losers'
LOS ANGELES -- Two days after the worst election defeat in decades for Democrats, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger referred to them as "losers"

...
But Schwarzenegger, who degraded Democrats during the budget fight last summer as "girlie men," seemed to understand a question about whether he would consider proposals to raise taxes from Democrats.
"Why would I listen to losers?" the governor asked. "Let's be honest."

§So?
If the Democrats won they would be saying the same thing.

§Arnold ran asa moderate
Arnold got elected in a recall that was called for bya few wealthy right-wingers who hired out of state signature gatherers. Arnold won because he portayed himself as a political moderate with no ties to Bush (he even said so in the debates). In the last weeks he not only spoke out in support of Bush but neglected his duties as governor to sway the vote in Ohio. Now he attacks Democrats for their election loss despite California (where he governs) going against the trend he sees as a mandate. Hopefully all the picture of Bush and Arnold that we have due to Arnolds work for Bush will help prevent him from getting a second term. Unfortuntely California Democrats dont have much bakcbone and are going along with the right-wing governator rather than standing up to him; to prevent re-election peopel need to stand up to him now rather than merely waiting until a few months before the next election.
