We work for the New York Times and Sacramento Bee
You’ll hear us on the radio and on Network TV
No matter who we work for, one thing is for sure
We’ll bring into your living room a kinder, gentler war

We’re proud to be objective, unbiased and fair
But you got to be a general to get upon the air
With gleaming eyes we celebrate war technology
It’s a fun computer game made specially for TV

We back our leaders all the time when they go to war
Anywhere and anytime no matter what it’s for
We let our corporate sponsors tell us what us to say
Cause that’s democracy and the American way
