SONiA www.soniadf.com SONiA of disappear fear, is an award winning songwriter from Baltimore, (USA). She has gained a devoted fan base in countries around the world. Her powerful honesty touches the hearts and minds of people of all social and ethnic backgrounds, underpinned as they are by the simple belief that people are people and love is love. In the 80’s Sisters Sonia and Cindy began a musical partnership that continues to this day...called disappear fear. When CiNDY chose full time motherhood SONiA began to experiment with an expanded palette of musical influences including blues and country music. SONiA's touring covers territory from Jerusalem to Lawrence, Kansas to the Woodford Festival in Australia to the Montana Jazz and Blues Festival in Fiji to the Blues to Bop Festival in Lugano, Switzerland to the Concert for Peace at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC with Peter, Paul and Mary (March 2003) to the Bitter End in New York City. SONiA has won numerous awards including the GLAMA for Best Female Artist of the Year (Almost Chocolate, 1999; Rounder) and Best Acoustic Album (Me, Too, 2001; disappear records), and the GLAAD Media Award for BEST ALBUM ( disappear fear, 1994; Rounder). In 2002, the Santa Cruz Guitar Company created the SONiA model in her honor. SONiA's ninth CD, 'no bomb is smart' was released in 2004.

Gwen Avery www.gwenavery.net Fair to say that music is Gwen Avery's life -- the gut wrenchin,' belly laughin,' music of classic blues. It's the music Avery heard as a child hanging around her grandmother's speakeasy in Verona, Pennsylvania, the town where she grew up. Whether Gwen was rocking and swinging in North Beach, bringing a soulful voice to the women's equality and gay rights movement of the 70's, or performing in various outdoor music festivals and prisons, Gwen made her diverse talent and shining presence felt in the history of our rich musical community. Grammy nominated producer, Linda Tillery, who performed with Gwen in the early days during the Varied Voices Tour, and produced Gwen’s release "Sugar Mama", has known Gwen for over 30 years. She has said simply, "To hear Avery's music is to be gifted with hearing the Real Thing."

Irina Rivkin www.rosestreetmusic.com/irinarivkin.htm Outmusic Awards Recipient for OutSong of the Year 2003, & founder of Rose Street & vocal trio Making Waves, Irina has performed for 25 years, from her childhood singing jazz & Russian folk in a family band, to performing her own songs for the last decade. Her gutsy originals journey into personal & political, with occasional travels into Russian & Spanish language lyrics. Her full-length CD "upwelling" is released on Rose Street Records in 2004. In addition, as an occasional harmony vocalist for SONiA, she sang at the 4/25/04 March for Women’s Lives in Washington DC, the biggest march in US History, as well as at the June 2004 Clearwater Hudson River Revival on a stage shared with Pete Seeger, Holly Near, Toshi Reagan, and Dar Williams! "She is political, jazzy, and rhythmic...hot, harmony-rich vocals... rhythm & sound would pass a Russian Sweet Honey in the Rock." Angela Page, Sing Out! Summer 2004
