WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- In response to Sinclair Broadcasting's decision to air a program Friday on its 62 stations on Sen. John Kerry's Vietnam War record, Consumers Union has commissioned a national survey -- as well as a survey of residents in Sinclair markets -- to determine their attitudes about the airing of the program.
The survey results, which also include attitudes about local broadcasters' obligations to present opposing points of political views and their responsibilities to serve the information needs of their communities, will be released Thursday morning in an audio conference call.
