The 2004 Alameda County Green Party Voter Guide - Now Online!
There are important write-ups on all the local measures and state props. Having been on the voter guide committee this time, I can tell you that a lot of people did in depth research - fielding tons of large interviews from many candidates for offices like school boards, city councils, BART boards, etc. It's not a thrilling job. I had to go through a state prop in all it's glory and read the fine print. If average people had to do that, no one would vote for *any* of these. The ugly work is done for you by people who really want to change things for the better, and have spent many hours pouring over the details, talking to candidates, having many meetings of committees (one went on for 5 hours!), and debating the decisions amongst ourselves. The links on the below url are the pdfs. Please fwd around.
