Isaac Saney is a professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia; "Cuba: A Revolution in Motion" is his new book.
The Cuban Revolution, the author suggests, has avoided many of the social problems besetting the rest of Latin America. Backed by intensive research and thorough analysis, he demonstrates that it is possible to pursue radical development policies that offer a practical and humane alternative to the neoliberal economic model.
