STOP BUSH! John Buchanan’s ‘NATIONAL TRUTH TOUR’ visits Sacramento Oct. 14.

John Buchanan is a veteran investigative journalist whose work has appeared in more than 100 newspapers and magazines and on major web sites worldwide. Last year he uncovered startling documentation from national archives of the Bush family’s financial ties to Hitler, ties long denied by the Bush family. Buchanan, a Republican and a Christian, ran against Bush in the New Hampshire Republican primary in order to bring his findings to national attention. He also sought to bring to light disturbing facts about the September 11 attacks which have been ignored by the so-called ‘independent’ 9/11 commission.

But Buchanan’s “campaign” was abruptly cut short by a bizarre series of events. At one point he was abducted by U.S. Secret Service agents, and then in a separate incident arrested on false charges that could have imprisoned him for years. The charges were dropped August 16. “I am the poster boy for what these people will do to truth tellers,” Buchanan says.

As a result of his experiences, Buchanan has launched a national speaking tour. “The ultimate point of what we are doing,” Buchanan says, “is to make the case to the American people, especially honorable Republicans and sincere Christians in the most critical swing states, that Bush is morally unfit for re-election based on what he has done since the tragedy of 9/11 to threaten everything this country has ever stood for. This will be the most important Presidential election in U.S. history, in my opinion, and I intend to do everything in my power to expose his for what he is.” “My talks will focus on the lies and deceit related to the invasion of Iraq, the utter failure of the war on terror, subversion of the Constitutional rights in the post-9/11 environment, and human rights abuses at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay.” In each city, Buchanan is being joined by religious leaders of the Christian, Muslim and Jewish faiths, as well as civic and business leaders. On October 26, his tour will appear in a major public event at the National Press Club in Washington.

Buchanan has also recently published an explosive book, “Fixing America: Breaking the Stranglehold of Corporate Rule, Big Media and the Religious Right (Far West Publishing), which details recent Bush family war profiteering and the influence of corporate lobbyists and religious ideology on recent US policy.

Buchanan appears in Sacramento Thursday, Oct. 14, 7:00 PM.at the Unitarian Universalist Society, 2425 Sierra Blvd. For more information, contact Bob Gipson, weekdays: (916) 255-3640; home (530) 677-1913; email rlgips [at] directcon.net.

"During my lifetime I have known 33 Nobel laureates and three Secretaries-General of the UN. None of them, in terms of courage and conviction, had anything on John Buchanan. In FIXING AMERICA, he demonstrates the kind of vision that can change the U.S. and the world for the better. None of the important issues he raises are being discussed by either political party during this Presidential election year." -- John McConnell, founder of Earth Day (1970) and the Minute for Peace (1963), from his Foreword to FIXING AMERICA .

"FIXING AMERICA describes the dark side of capitalism, 'corporate personhood,' lobbyists, the WTO, and the myth of a free press. If 'we the people' fail to grasp the challenge these pose to our way of life, we can say goodbye to 'liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,' and hello to life under fascism. Read FIXING AMERICA and shout 'I'm not going to take it anymore.' " – Enver Masud, founder and CEO, The Wisdom Fund, and award-winning author of THE WAR ON ISLAM.
