"FROM SILENCE TO COURAGE: CELEBRATING KOREAN
AMERICAN WOMEN'S JOURNEYS"

An annual event sponsored by Korean American Coalition
to End Domestic Abuse, and Shimtuh: Korean Domestic
Violence Program

Thursday, October 14
James Moore Theatre
7:00pm

This is a 5th year celebration of Shimtuh: Korean
Domestic Violence Program of Korean Community Center
of the East Bay (KCCEB). This first Korean
Women's Festival is a unique tribute to the many
Korean women who have survived violence (and those who
have lost their lives to violence). It features the
premiere showings of short videos created by Korean
women in the Bay Area surviving violence. Song,
spoken word, dance and drumming are woven together in
a collective journey from silence to courage.

Shimtuh and Korean Coalition to End Domestic Abuse
(KACEDA) thank Jamaesori, KYCC, Ajuma-dul, and EGO
drummers who will be part of the celebration pangut
ending this program.

Tickets: $15 suggested donation. Please encourage
family and friends to attend (flexible donations for
those who cannot afford the $15).
