Customer Support Day of Action: October 15th in San Francisco

This October 15th join the San Francisco Labor Council and hundreds of supporters at a major rally in San Francisco...

Tens of thousands of consumers have signed up on our pledge program. Join hundreds of them from throughout the Bay Area as they gather to offer their support for grocery workers and our fight to defend healthcare for our families.

The rally will be held on Friday, October 15th from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at the Safeway store at Church and Market streets in San Francisco.

If you are a UFCW member, contact your Local union to find out more about attending this rally. Busses and carpools will be arranged from each Local union. Click here to view a flyer for the event.

§Street theater participants needed for splinter action!

A splinter action following the 10/15 community support-themed Safeway rally is in the works, and anybody who is interesting in participating in street theater in order to support workers' rights and affordable healthcare should call me before Tuesday at 415.826.8971. There will be a meeting at 2pm on Thurs. to iron out the details of the splinter action, and I can fill you in on the details over the phone.
