Sponsored by The Justice in Palestine Coalition -- a group of progressive organizations who have come together to work for a free Palestine.
Palestine is still THE issue!
Strong speakers (women & men), workshops, classes, and lots of tables with lots of literature and videos.
THE CONFERENCE WAS *HIGHLY* SUCCESSFUL!
There were many people in attendance, including many Jews, as well as Palestinians and other human rights people of coscience.
There were lots of high school and middle school kids in attendance, many of them Jewish.
There were also, unfortunately, some Zionist 'Jewish skinheads' with their apartheid Israeli flags who tried to crash the conference.
And more Jewish klansmen yelling from across the street with their sea of Israeli flags (and a few American flags)
-- Just like Southern 'Christian' klansmen yelling and waving their Confederate and American flags across from Black freedom fighters and their allies.
We told them *in no uncertain terms* that they were *NOT* coming in.
The police came to separate the ZioNazi klansmen from us.
The rednect Jews with their Israeli and American flags tried to persuade one bulldog-looking cop to let a couple of them in.
The cop at first agreed, declaring our conference to be a public event.
I've had plenty of experience with bulldogs *and* pigs.
I said to the cop, "Whoa!! This isn't open to the Jewish klansmen just because *you* declare it's "a public event" and therefore "open" to them!
The bulldog cop sait that it was and that he was going to escort a couple of the skinhead Jews into the conference.
I said, "No way! This isn't *Israel*!!"
I said that the television media there -- right in front of them -- would *twist* it and make it look like the police were escorting those (ZoiNazi) Jews to protect them from us, rather than to protect us from *them*, and not even mention that that there were plenty of Jews attending the conference.
I told the bulldog cop that "Your actions don't fly just because *you* say that it's legal, and I got on the phone -- practically in the bulldog cops face -- to consult with three attorney friends of mine (one of them Jewish).
(We also had an attorney there, as well as other conference officials and official spokespersons caucusing, consulting, and liasoning -- but the more attorneys of conscience on our side, the better.)
One Palestinian said that, "Our community -- including Palestinians, Jews, and non-Jews -- would not be safe with those skinheads coming inside."
I pointed out to the cop that the Palestinian was a prominent University of San Francisco professor, well-known and highly-regarded throughout the Bay Area. --Just to be sure that cop knew who he was dealing with.
The Palestinian proffessor rightly pointed out that it would be like forcing the NAACP to let the KKK, under police escort, into an NAACP conference.
We all -- especially one particularly cool and strong Palestinian conference official -- finally bluntly told the bulldog cop, "We've made a *decision*: they [the white ZioNazi skinheads (my, JA, words)] are *NOT* coming in. Do what you gotta do."

But, of course, KRON 4 only referred to "local Jewish groups" -- instead of saying "local Zionist groups" -- who opposed the conference; this, while *NOT* mentioning that there were organized "local Jewish groups" present there who stood with and *SUPPORT* the conference.
Fortunately, KRON 4 did show one of the conference spokespersons, Jamie Spector of "Jews for a Free Palestine", in a featured comment.
But, of course, KRON 4 only referred to "local Jewish groups" -- instead of saying "local Zionist groups" -- who opposed the conference; this, while *NOT* mentioning that there were organized "local Jewish groups" present there who stood with and *SUPPORT* the conference.

I think it's more constructive to show respect for policemen and policewomen and give them the benefit of the doubt. To call them all "pigs" is a form of "racism" because you are not taking each one as an individual. Personally, I have met some very nice cops. They are more likely to treat you with respect if you treat them with respect as is the case with anyone. And the cops have come in handy for me in fighting off the ZioNazis in the past and others who don't agree with my politics.

You call cops names because, as you say, they mistreat blacks (and others). And what happens when the cops are black? Do they do the same?

Blacks don't even say that about whites!! The Belgian parliament is in the process of rescinding (if it hasn't already rescinded) the law that enabled a Belgian court to prosecute Sharon, therefore Sharon isn't under the threat of arrest even in Belgium.
