TODAY :: second Critical Mass Radio Network broadcast
Today's topic will be the upcoming Media emergenC independent media conference in San Diego. This conference is being organized in response to the National Association of Broadcasters' "Radio Road Show" which will be held in San Diego this year. The day's content on the Critical Mass Radio Network will focus on 1.) what is wrong with the NAB and the corporate media, and 2.) what communities are doing to create a voice for themselves and how we can improve these independent media networks.
"Critical Mass Radio Network is a decentralized network of independent community-based radio stations that will broadcast a coordinated signal internationally, starting Friday, August 27, in honor of the Republican National Convention. As featured in the LA Times, CMRN is six preliminary local stations who have joined forces to bring you a simultaneous and continuous uproar of voices, stories, music and unfiltered news - enough to ram the hot air back down George W.'s throat faster than you can say 'republicrat.'" --www.indybay.org
