PRESS RELEASE
RISING ARTIST RECOGNIZED BY INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING CONTEST
San Francisco native Natasha Miller was recently named Winner by Song of the Year (http://www.songoftheyear.com). Song of the Year is an international songwriting contest supporting VH-1’s Save the Music Foundation. The Song of the Year judges are some of the biggest names in music including many Grammy Award winners. Song of the Year is excited to recognize Natasha for her exceptional songwriting ability for “Everything’s Gone.” Natasha, a Berklee College of Music graduate, competed against songwriters from all over the world for this honor. When asked what inspired the lyrics, Natasha said that she wrote it by imagining a guy who is dumped by his wife. “I tried to put myself in this guy’s shoes, writing out all the thoughts and emotions he experiences when faced with the shocking reality that his wife has abandoned him,” she explained. Currently Natasha is focusing on a major project: a bilingual (English/Spanish), high caliber website through which she will launch her musical career and promote her first album, “A Dream In Progress.” She is working with several professionals and sponsors to create an original, message-oriented website, http://www.natashamiller8.com. “With this website, my goal is to not only to make a name for myself as a musician, but also to make a difference in the world,” said Natasha. She plans to launch the website in the near future. To find out more about Natasha Miller, contact rebelartistrecords [at] yahoo.com. (Note: There is another artist with the same name. Song of the Year Winner Natasha Miller has a style all her own; look for her logo, a purple 8.)
