Unite for Justice and Peace: Speak out for change! A gathering of diverse social justice groups speaking out against Bush Administration policies will rally on Oct. 10, 2004 at the State Capitol's North Steps from 2-5 PM. Featured speakers include Dolores Huerta, founding V.P. of the United Farmworkers of America, AFL-CIO, and Christine Craft, host of the local "Power Hour," on Air America Radio.
The purpose of this event is to bring together and mobilize our diverse communities to speak out against the Bush policies of war, attacks on civil rights, workers' rights and women's rights, limited student access to education and attacks on the environment. We join together in a festive atmosphere to speak out for a more just, equitable, and livable society for all. The event will start with music at 1:45 PM, followed by the program at 2:00 PM.
