Photos From Pepper Spray Trial Rally
Photos from rally on first day of trial about the direct application of pepper spray to protesters in the 1990's
Karen Pickett, one of the main organizers around the case, spoke first to introduce the cae. Spring Lundbery and Terri Slanetz spoke, as well as Spring's father and several performers. Spring herself sang and played guitar, and at the end, Spring sang "I Really Like the Cops" (that is a Utah Phillips song, no?) Terri led the crowd in a bastardized version of "We Shall Overcome" that sounded a lot like "We Shall Not Be Moved."
