SF Zine Fest this weekend
The SF Zine Fest will be this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, at CELL Space, 2050 Bryant in SF. It is free to the public, and the workshops are also free. Also, there is a zine-related film screening at ATA Saturday that is in conjunction with the zine fest.
The 2004 san francisco zinefest will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 4th and 5th from 10-4 at CELLspace, 2050 Bryant Street.
The zine fest is a two day event for people interested in homemade, independent publications to show off their stuff, trade with other folks, and to see what other people are doing. Many people are creating great zines and we want to increase the visibilty of our local zine communities as well as just meet each other. To see who's coming, visit:

There are also many great workshops this year, covering such topics as bookbinding, distribution, and zine libraries. A full workshop schedule can be found at:

At 7:00 on Saturday night, Microcosm Publishing presents a screening of Joe Biel's "A Hundred Dollars and a T-Shirt: A video documentary about zines in the Northwest US" There will be a $5 admission fee for the movie. The ATA is at 992 Valencia Street.
