RNC Arrestees Need to See their Lawyers- Call Now!
Phone numbers to call and a list of arrestees' demands.
September 01, 2004
NY,NY
POLICE COMMISSIONER RAY KELLY - 646.610.5410
OFFICE OF THE POLICE COMMISSIONER -646.610.5000
DISTRICT ATTORNEY ROBERT MORGENTHAL- 212.335.9000
COMMISSIONER OF THE DEPT. OF CORRECTIONS - MARTIN HORN- 212.266.1212
MAYOR BLOOMBERG- 212.788.7418
Please call these people and demand that:
1) Everyone who is asking for a lawyer gets to see one, especially the Jane
and John Doe's whom are withholding their names and doing jail solidarity.
2) Pier 57 is TOXIC! Demand that the prisoners are moved or released from
Pier 57. People are getting sick!
3) People who have medical conditions need to be seen by a doctor! Demand
that their needs are met, immediately!
A NOTE ON JAIL SOLIDARITY...
There are a confirmed 27 people doing it, but there could be many, many more
who are unable to get through on the phone.
So far, their demands are:
1) Equal treatment of all prisoners regardless of race, gender, immigration
status, previous arrests, charges, etc.
2) That non-protester arrestees (general population) not be negatively
affected by the protesters' arrests (ie, they are processed normally, get
arraigned on time, etc.)
That's all for now. More to come. Thank you.
