Report from NYC: after arresting protesters, time for the bystanders

finished my bad-for-me food binge w/ some tasty ny
pizza, then went up to herald sq. last night, where
police were bussing out arrested protestors and
escorting delegates. there was a huge crowd on the
corners loudly jeering delegates, which i joined.
later, the police took down their fencing and
announced that people had to clear the sidewalks to
"let people through". at this point they moved into
the crowd across the street and started to arrest
people. then they moved the crowd down the block.
i just hung out w/ the people i was w/.

later, we went up to 47th and b'way where there was a
delegate function, but we just wound up bumping into
lots o' bay area folx, and taunting delegates coming
off the buses. then we headed south and i went home.

kind of bummed to leave ny today, specially since bush
is coming tomorrow. oh well.
