Solidarity Actions against the RNC

Date:
Sunday, August 29, 2004
Time:
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Event Type:
Other
Organizer/Author:
Marvin
Location Details:
Justin Herman Plaza-(foot of Market & Embarcadero-near the Bay)
meet near the ugly fountain

If we can't be in NYC to protest the RNC we've got to make our own ruckus
right here.
Join us on Sunday in SF to help raise some consciousness and maybe grab
some media attention.
We can have some fun while we're at it.

Please RSVP if you plan to come so we have an idea about how many props and
how much literature to bring.

WHERE: Justin Hermann Plaza (foot of Market St). in San Francisco

WHEN: Meet at the ugly fountain at 1:00 PM.

ACTION: Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield and Rice confront passers-by (and
demonstrators posing as passers-by) and ask pointed questions about whether
they are for "us" or against "us". (Eg. "Do you belive that we should
spend more on intelligence or on education?") Demonstrators giving the
"wrong" answers are given the police state treatment (arrested, beaten up,
etc) . Those with the "right" answer are given cigars, money,
respect. Real passers-by are engaged in discussion, and given
action-oriented literature.

We have some really cool masks and great phoney money--(not 9-11's).
We have banners from UfPJ "The World Sys NO to the Busjh Agenda"
We have some scriptlets for the Bushites, but you can make up your own if
you want.

People wanting to exercise their latent acting talents can rotate in as one
of the Bushites. These people should dress like Republicans. Those wanting
top act out their latent aggressions can be the heavies. These people
should wear military/police attire.

BRING:
* a friend
* attire and props (optional)
* more scriptlets
* a smile
See you on SUNDAY.....YES YOU....Protest now while you still can
