Response to NYC denial to permit marches protesting the RNC
Free Iraq, Free Palestine, Free NYC, Free Speech
By Genevieve Cora Fraser

In the Great Struggle
For the Great Lawn
In Central Park
Free speech
Once again
Takes a back seat
To corporate
And political interests
In a world devoid
O f dissent only
Consent of the governed
By mass decree
Officially cleansed
Of thought or observation
Is permitted by judges
Committed to continued
Patronage
A world vision
Guided by remote control
Is Mind Control
Mass media
In the hands
Of the Few
Silence voices
Of the Many
Free Iraq Free Palestine
Free North America
Free South America
Free Asia Free Africa
Free Europe & Australia
From corporate greed
Marching to the drum
Of militarized domination
Enshrined as patriotism
Power belongs to the People
Of the world able and willing
To govern themselves
After examining all alternatives
In freedom

It is a nice poem.

Those so called "judges" who openly pander to the interests of the criminal oligarch instead of protecting the republic and it´s peoples in accordance with their mandate will be marked as enemy combatants to the rule of law and our precepts.

A such they will become tagets of opportunity at will for those who so choose.

The reward for those who openly lie as they support the lawless regime of corporate tyranny will be sudden death.

I strongly suggest that all of you prepare yourselves as the social war for this planet is quickly heating up due to the open and abject surrender of the rule of law to the criminal demands of the corporate despot.

No permits from those who openly attempt to protect the guilty from their just consequences are required.

What's this "Free Palestine" crap?

80% of Palestine became Jordan around 1920.

That's the vast bulk of "Palestine."

It really sucks that in order for me to protest against GW Bush I have to do it alongside palestinian terrorist-apoligists.

In regard to your 80% of Palestine was Jordon comment...

Palestine has been called Palestine and identified as such for thousands of years. When Greece was under Roman control, it still was Greece. When Palestine was under Roman control it was still recognized by the Romans as Palestine. There are many documents that attest to this fact.

If you want to argue about names, check UN Resolution 181 which many Arab nations did not vote for but it still passed. In describing the 2 proposed states, one Jewish, one Arab the resolution cites WITHIN PALESTINE. When Israel declared itself a state the phrase was ISRAEL WITHIN PALESTINE and the UN recognized Palestine based on UN Resolution 181 with the understanding that certain conditions would be met for Israel to be a legitimate state... One was for them to recognize the Right of Return and Secondly, they were to pay Reparations for the land, property and bank accounts they stole. (Absentee Property Laws of 1948 and 1950) Israel exists on very shaky ground. Legally Israel exists WITHIN PALESTINE not the reverse. In addition the Nurenburg trials were based on international law against retaining territory based on aggression not negotiation.

Palestine has the support from most of the world community, not because of anti-Semitism but because of the unmitigated aggression as well as gall of Zionist Israel in the nearly 6 decades of torture and misery they have inflicted on the people of the Holy Land... the real people, not European and American outsiders pretending to a claim.

PS Israel is very Un-Jewish to boot according to many of my Jewish and Israeli friends who have left because of the real Anti-Semitism perpetrate3d against the Arabs who are actual Semites.

"During the second century BC, under the Hasmonean priest-kings, the name of the tribe of Judah became applied to a very wide region, and when the Romans took control of that territory in 63 BC they called it Provincia Judaea. However, in AD 135, after putting down the second major Jewish revolt against Rome, the Emperor Hadrian wanted to blot out the name of the province to Provincia Syria Palaestina (ie the Latin version of the Greek term). This was later shortened to Palaestina, from which the modern 'Palestine' is derived."

In other words, arguing that the Romans called the place "Palestine" doesn't help your case once you know what those same Romans called it _before_ they called it "Palestine": Judea.

Genevieve!

Thanks for the clarity.

The issue now as before and as always remains not what one chooses to call the region but rather when Israeli policy will be changed from lawless aggression and theft to adherence to international law and the original mandate provided (without legal basis) by the colonial powers of the time.

It is always comforting to know that irregardless of the attempted avoidance of the fact by a few, world opinion is solidly behind the equal and inalienable rights of all those, Semites as well as others, who choose to dwell in The Holy Land.

It remains to be seen if world public opinion can marshal the forces required to sustain adherence to law or continue to allow open apartheid.
