9-11 Commission on KQED's Forum

Dear Forum,

Thank-you for covering this vital issue. Many of us marched on legislators demanding a Congressional Investigation of 9-11 in January 2002. Bush and Cheney immediately asked that the investigation be limited and overseen by the very men we felt should be questioned for their own role in September 11, 2001, specifically Porter Goss and Bob Graham who breakfasted with the head of Pakistani Intelligence, Lt. General Mahmoud Ahmad at the time of the attacks. Ahmad was identified as the person who ordered $100,000 sent to Mohammed Atta, identified by the FBI as a leader in the attacks on the WTC. Naturally Goss and Graham who co-chaired the joint House/Senate Intelligence Oversight Committee failed to investigate Pakistan's (or their own) role in 9-11.

The very parameters of the official Inquiry and Commission has been to support the official narrative and justify the PATRIOT Acts, Homeland Security, and now, with H.R.4104 The Intelligence Transformation Act- the foundation of a Global Police State.

The International Citizen's Inquiries into 9-11 held in San Francisco and Toronto, in March and May of this year, provided ample evidence of major lying, a cover-up, on the part of the government, and failure of the press to critically examine ample evidence of government complicity. Protests are scheduled to take place in San Francisco August 17th 5 to 7 PM, at the Fairmont Hotel where 9-11 Commissioners will speak in the evening, additional protests will take place to oppose HR.4104 in Palo Alto, August 25th 11-2PM beginning at Lytton Plaza, marching to Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's office, and on September 11th 2004 at a feeder march and rally from the Panhandle at 10AM, at Ashbury, marching up Haight Street to the 6th Annual Power to the Peaceful Concert to be held in Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

There is a Global Movement rising up that does not buy the Lies nor the Wars that they are trying to sell- especially against the American people, our right to dissent, question, and criticize an increasingly oppressive and criminal regime.

I hope your program gives an opportunity to those who have researched 9-11 and can intelligently challenge the Commission for their failure to ask the right questions, or seek the truth about what happened on that day. A critical examination of the Commissioners, themselves, reveals serious conflicts of interests; the nomination of Henry Kissinger as Chairman should be a clue about whose interests are being served.
